Korean language tips for international students in Korea

This textbook is designed to help international students adapt to university life smoothly. The content covers various topics needed for university courses and daily life. The textbook is for international students with Topik Level 2. Through this textbook, they can learn academic and professional academic content and expressions related to daily campus life at the same time.

First, in order to enable international students to successfully complete their university academic courses and daily life, the textbooks emphasize balance in the selection of unit themes. For international students who have just enrolled and are starting a new semester, the textbooks have selected topics such as preparation and etiquette before class, course selection, homework writing and submission, professor consultation, report preparation and publication, examinations and grade inquiry, etc., to help students fully master the various preparations and skills required for a semester of university courses. In addition, it also covers topics such as club activities, leisure life, campus activity introductions, facility use, trouble consultation and school celebrations, so that students can communicate smoothly in daily campus life.

Secondly, this textbook combines various language functions to connect vocabulary, grammar, listening, reading, speaking and writing. At the beginning of each lesson, "Think about it" and "Vocabulary and Expression" help learners to clearly understand the theme and learning objectives of the lesson, and provide three core grammar and listening and speaking exercises for clear language learning. Through the university courses or life situations presented in Activity 1 and Activity 2, the language skills of reading, writing and speaking can be applied alternately to expand the scope of learners' practical knowledge.

Third, this textbook has "Review Exercises" and "Bonus Learning" units to help learners learn actively and independently. "Review Exercises" allows students to reconfirm and consolidate the vocabulary and expressions they have learned through various activities; and the "Bonus Learning" set at the end of each unit covers practical topics such as "Specialized Subjects, Smart Campus, Transportation, Part-time Jobs for International Students, Useful Websites for Writing Homework, New Teaching Methods, Personality Type Tests, and Useful Applications for Making Presentations". Through these contents that are closely integrated with actual situations, international students can have a deeper understanding of the environment and context of Korean universities, and then grow into learners with active learning abilities.
