“How did the singers I like start making music?”
Archives project of the Korean music scene × Comic production project "Private Life of Music 99" - Lang Lee 2010 publication!

Artist Lee Tak (이랑), who conveys his own thoughts and social messages in many ways, from singer-songwriter to film director to writer, and cartoonist 실키, who captures readers' resonance with his sharp painting style, humorous narrative and honest stories, meet for the first time through black and white comics!

Li Long: "On those sleepless nights, I didn't cry, but wrote songs to sing to myself, and then I became a musician. It's incredible."

Since her debut with the single "변해야한다" in 2011, Lee Taek has been singing about herself with her unique voice. Through works such as "욘욘슨" (2012), "신의놀이" (2016), and "늑대가나타났다" (2021),
She tells stories about love, society and individuals. She also won many awards including the "Best Folk Album" and "Album of the Year" at the 2022 Korean Popular Music Awards, and is known as a creator with both musicality and message.

The Private Life of Music 99 starts with the question "How did Li Long's music begin?" The story begins when she flew to Paris alone in 2010. She once admitted, "I am not a music major, I have not listened to much music, and I don't understand harmony or chords, but I just like to talk while playing the guitar." Her words make people understand: music is not just about creation, but also a way to live out emotions.

The cartoonist who drew this book, 실키, is good at black and white comics, and her works include illustrations, animations and clay art. She currently lives in France and continues to create. She delicately describes the absurdity of reality and personal inner self in works such as "나-안괜찮아" (2016), "하하하이고" (2018), and "그럼에도여기에서" (2021), and is deeply loved by readers. "김치바게트" in 2023 uses humorous brushstrokes to depict the cultural differences and racial discrimination experiences of living in France, and is serialized and published locally.

The experimental project "Music's Private Life 99: Lang Lee 2010" that combines music and comics allows readers to have an in-depth look at the passion and trajectory of Lee Taki's creations, and through 실키's delicate black and white brushstrokes, get a glimpse into her unique musical world.
