This book is named "Harm", but it actually talks about "survival".

In our struggle to survive in society, we have encountered all kinds of harm in our lives of competition, elimination, success or failure. These external malices have made us breathless, but even so, can we choose to be kind and choose not to hurt others to survive?

The cover of the book shows a young couple holding hands and crying face to face. The girl is called 이은 and the boy is called 수한. Let's call them Yi-eun and Soo-han. Yi-eun lives in a semi-basement house. She was originally a designer, but after leaving her job, she made environmentally friendly handicrafts and sold them at the market. Soo-han also lives on the roof of the same building, which is the attic. He is a veterinarian and often treats injured animals.

One day, Yi-en went to the rooftop to grow vegetables to save money and met Soo-han. The two shared the vegetables grown by Yi-en and became friends from neighbors. Yi-en loves plants and Soo-han loves animals. They both have the same herbivorous nature. But Yi-en is chased by the tight financial pressure, and Soo-han has nightmares every day because of trauma. They don't want to hurt others, they just want to survive in peace. Herbivorous humans like them, even if the world keeps hurting them, they still choose to be kind to others.

Through the encounter between the male and female protagonists in the book and their respective experiences, the author expresses very warmly that in such a competitive, carnivorous society where the strong prey on the weak, kindness between people is even more precious.
